Bazi Daily - 11/11/2009

Foretelling Daily Activity (流日论断)
(Part 02)

Glad to notice that some of them have applied what they have 'picked up' from this blog :-)

I would like to share with you my personal experiences as well :-

(hope that the rest may share what you have experienced for learning purposes)

I was born with a 丁丑 day pillar. Guess what happened last Sunday (8 Nov 2009)?

It was a 丁巳 day (meaning my Amiable & Competitive Deity day) and, of course, representing high possibility of meeting friends. Indeed, it was :-)

Together with me & my son, my wife (Yang fire person) organized & invited her colleague & daughter (both are fire person as well) to Singapore Jurong BIRD Park.

Analysis :-

1. If was a fire day (丁巳), hence, the trip consists mainly of fire persons.

2. The day branch (巳) combined with 丑 (i.e. my spouse palace). Hence, the gathering involved my wife.

3. If we were to scrutinise carefully, my child star (Yin Water) is hidden inside the 丑 earth. We brought our son together for the trip.

4. Another possible explanation : My 4-years old son is a Yang Water person, given that 丁壬 combined, he came along as well.

I would like to pose a question for your thought :-

Is there any 'clue' from this manner of 'reverse engineering' whereby we can reasonably explain why I have visited the Bird Park?

Hi Master Goh,

Birds are associated with the Fire element as well :)

Sanjay,

Birds are associated with the Fire element as well

Great! It is one of the logical & acceptable explanations :-)

I have, yet, other way of viewing it :-)

Note :

For those that doesn't know why we associate fire with birds, please refer to the 4 celestial animal. Fire is known as Red Phenix (前朱雀).

Dear Master Goh, not sure it will worth your trouble but in the spirit of contribution, I would give it a go….

My logic is that fire goes up and so does bird!

You probably need to bring me down to earth. :-)

Master Goh,

Is it that Jurong is located at the West side of Singapore ,and West element is Metal.

Fire controls metal, which means wealth. You went to Jurong Bird Park to spend money.haha

Hi Master Goh,

Here is another potential explanation (a shot in the dark actually):

壬 and 丁 combine to make Wood. Wood caters to parents Fire DM (Ding and Bing). Son enjoys the bird sanctuary and in the process family union is strengthened.

We have already agreed that birds are associated with the Fire element, and Fire Qi is expansive, uplifting, and joyful:)

Best,
Sanjay

To Mr or Miss Unknown :-)

...but in the spirit of contribution, I would give it a go

that is the way :-)

I am very happy to have received a numbers of responses.

My logic is that fire goes up and so does bird!

I like your way of viewing & associating bird in that manner :-)

It is perfectly logical & acceptable.

Yi Jing (The Book of Changes) is about the philosophy of the word 'change'. Nothing is constant except change is the essence of Yi Jing.

To view things, objects, human beings ... in the universe, there are at least 3 ways as advocated by Yi Jing.

There are, namely :-

- 数 (i.e. the numbers)
- 理 (i.e. the theory)
- 象 (i.e. the images)

You have viewed it from the prespective of of 'Images'.

Personally, from your statement, I gained better understanding about the term 'change'.

Thanks, Ms / Mr Unknown :-)

Let me stress once again :

To learn is to share ; and
Share to Learn & Learn to Share

Master Goh,

So is my analysis correct?Pls Advise.Thanks.

Feng Shui 316,

bird park... at West ... Metal... Fire controls metal...means wealth... spend money

You are very creative & have appropriately brought in the concept of 10 deities:-)

Luckily, the fire is strong enough to control the metal. Hence, the spending is still manageable.

By saying that, I would like to provide one more piece of information for your 'mind exercise'.

Personally, I stay at the Northeast side of Singapore. And as mentioned by Fengshui 316, the Bird Park is located at the Western part of Singapore. To be more exact, it is located at Northwest.

Is there any indication from that day bazi (in association with my day pillar)?

Sanjay,

It is true that the wood (丁壬 combination) caters to the fire. However, don't forget that there are 4 fire persons visited the bird sanctuary.

In actual fact, my son enjoyed much fun from the daughter of my wife's colleague than from the parents :-)

We have already agreed that birds are associated with the Fire element

Personally, to me, there is one more element that can be used to represent birds :-)

That was the question posed by me in my previous replies :-)

Still waiting for the answer!

and Fire Qi is expansive, uplifting, and joyful

You are right in pointed out that the fire represents the joyful occasion.

Indeed, it was fun!

However, 丁巳 is a day of strong fire. The weather on that day was very hot :-(

Hi Master Goh,

Could it be Xun gua or Wind? However that is Wood (Yi). Could it be Ren + Ding = Wood = Bird?

Xun = Graceful movement = Wind

Hi Master Goh,

Some additional associations come to mind:

1) 丁 巳 is very good for entertaiment as the Sun and Stars are together (Bing and Ding)

2)巳 is a traveling star and also star of aggression and time when Fire is at its peak. So active entertainment that involved travel to West or NW side (丑 + 巳 form partial Metal frame) of town to watch birds.

3) NW is Qian (father) and NE is Gen (youngest son) -- Involved father and son.

Best,
Sanjay

Dear Master Goh, thank you so much for your encouragement; I definitely have that big grin on my face again today!

Chou = East
Chou + Si = Metal = West
So you travel from east to west?

Sanjay,

==> Could it be Xun gua or Wind? However that is Wood (Yi). Could it be Ren + Ding = Wood = Bird?

Your view sounds logical to me theoretically :-)

Why? Because if we were to view the birds as fire, and birds live in the forest (i.e. wood).

However, by doing so, we are bringing in too many variables that beyond our comprehension.

I like your point 1 & 3 :-)

==> 2)巳 is a traveling star... involved travel...

Agreed !

Chou = East

Would you mind to share with us how you derived the conclusion that Chou represents East ?

Guan Leong, GOH said...

Great! The responses to this subject are very constructive. I have gained some new insight through the process of exchanging of view points :-)

There is no right or wrong answer to why I traveled from NE to NW. It is just that my answer (based on my own practical experiences) to it is different from what you had brought up.

Visiting Birds Park

Instead of using fire (i.e. birds), I used Xin metal to represent birds. The reason is simply that Xin or You (辛 or 酉) refers to rooster (i.e. birds).

My day branch happened to be Chou (i.e. metal pool 金库), a place that 'keep' birds.

You (酉) is Dui gua (兑), representing pleasant sounds.

Collectively, it can be used to represent birds park.

And, as we know, fire represents eye.

Since the day itself is 巳 (eye, or viewing) and is combined with my day branch (chou), I therefore concluded that bringing my family to view (or visit) birds park.

Please take note that I am using my day pillar to decipher matters, hence, have to be based on my day pillar.

Thanks Master Goh,

I loved the analogy of Chou as a "Metal Pool," and its association with a bird cage.

I had thought of using Metal (Dui and Rooster), but shyed away as it was associated with Metal and perhaps associated with birds in a restriced manner. Dui = Marsh = Pleasant sounds (probably from birds) is lovely!

Thank you very much, as always.

Ops....I meant Chou = North East?

It is such a lovely way to describe an event. It seems to me that imagination plays an important role in Bazi.

Guan Leong, GOH said...

Sanjay,

==> Dui = Marsh ...

For your information, the current site whereby our Birds Park is location used to be an unwanted land, i.e. marsh ;-)

Really wonder how our ancestors had invented such a wonderful & amazing theory....

Chinese Metaphysics is beautiful beyond description. I continue to amaze myself every day I learn more. However, I also find that the more I learn, the less I know! There is always that next layer of reasoning waiting to reveal yet another insight. I think one life time is insufficnent to master this beautiful body of knowledge. Only regret, I stumbled upon it in mid-life :)

Thanks once again, Master Goh.
