Have you ever think of ways to sharpen your understanding on the concepts of 10 deities?
One of the best ways is to practice it on the daily basis. You can establish the daily (流日) 10 deities based on your Day Master.
For instance, if you are a Ding fire person and the Day Stem for particular day is Ji (己) earth, then the day is Deity of Implicit Talent (食神) to you. Anything related to the output might occur such as sudden interest in learning new skills, tasting new or good food …
The day of Amiable & Competitive Deity (比劫之日)
= knowing new friends,
= friends visiting,
= receiving e-mail from friends
The day of Wealth Deity (财星之日)
= receiving money, strike lottery
= spending, investment,…
The day of Authority Deity (官杀之日)
= receiving pressure from work
= receiving pressure from husband (female chart)
= receiving pressure from children (male chart)
The day of Resources Deity (印星之日)
= buying book
= feel like doing meditation
= visiting parents, teacher
In the event of both the Day Stem & Branch clashes simultaneously with your Day Pillar, it denotes urgent issue raise up unexpectedly that require your immediate action.

in practicing the concepts of 10 deities, we know it have favor and un-favor. Does this mean during favor day we get +ve result, and during un-favor day we get bad experience?

I just 'applied' what you have shared. Amazing!!!
My friend's chart (丙DM) has quite a few 伤官.
And just now @ about 2pm (未时) on 己未 day(10 Nov), he told me he wanted to quit his job to have a short career break! perhaps also to start a business or backpack around...
I guess the hour influence on the chart is also quite significant.
