Tiger Woods taking hiatus from golf
I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children. I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I've done, but I want to do my best to try.
I would like to ask everyone, including my fans, the good people at my foundation, business partners, the PGA Tour, and my fellow competitors, for their understanding. What's most important now is that my family has the time, privacy, and safe haven we will need for personal healing.
After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person.
Again, I ask for privacy for my family and I am especially grateful for all those who have offered compassion and concern during this difficult period.

Also curious to find out is there any telltale sign from his bazi that he is involved in such a socially unacceptable 'scandal' ....
Managed to find his DOB after making some efforts in searching for it.

You are deducing it from the view point of favorability of the element (i.e. the Xu earth in the Spouse Palace) to conclude that the relationship is close.
I do agree with you on that :) But, besides the proximity of the favorable element (Xu earth) to DM, there are 2 more aspects whereby we can deduce that their relationship is close.

Theoretically, as you have mentioned it correctly, the extramarital affairs can be explained by the presence of additional Yi Wood (i.e. another woman) in luck cycle that competes to combine with DM.
Traditionally, a clash of Yang Ren （羊刃） is considered as undesirable as it could cause fluctuation. The arisen of this unpleasant situation, of course, can be attributed to it.

Besides the prominency & well rootedness of Wealth Deities in the Year Pillar (Yi & Mao wood), both wealth deities 'get connected' (i.e. combined) with the Day stem & branch simultaneously.
Hence, we can conclude that the relationship is close.
I do believe that the love towards his wife is a genuine one. If not, Tiger Woods would not have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. In his statement, he mentioned that he need to focus his attention on being a better husband, father, and person.
However, since there is more than one Wealth Deities (i.e. opposite genders) appeared & combined with the Day Pillar, the connection is definitely more than one :)
The situation is even more severe with the appearance of another Yi in the Luck Cycle.

The fact that the wife star is in year pillar other than it means that he is far away phsycally from his wife since he is always on tour and travelling, it also could mean that his wife is a foreigner. I've checked that his wife was born in Sweden thus is a foreigner.

Yes, you are perfectly right in pointing out & sharing your observation.
As we know there are so many representations in the process of analysing bazi :)
For instance, in this current case, year pillar is located 'far away' from the Day Pillar, besides concluded that the couples are far apart physically, marriage to a foreigner.... we can also conclude that they may have know each other for quite sometimes.

Normally, we tend to associate 子卯刑 with scandalous affair & undesired romantic relationship. But, it is not necessarily to be so.
Personally, I am quite reluctant in using the term loosely.
But, in this current case, I do agree that it is one of the contributing factors to his extramarital affair.

Tiger's Hour pillar is Ding Hai. he was born at 22:50 Hrs (Source: Astro Data Bank). The chart gets more interesting.
Some observations:
There is Jia (Improper Wealth) in his Hour pillar - indicating his affairs are also associated with his career.
Tiger is also a Fui Gong - a survivor. He also has competitive deity in his spouse palace so wood cannot grow :) He needs to keep his friends away from his spouse. He will always have difficulty maintaing long-term relationships with women. Xu also attracts Chen (Jia ) and Mao (Yi).
His chart is cold. It needs Bing to warm earth so it can produce metal and warm Jia so it can produce fire. Only in this environment can Ding do its job of forging metal to perform. His second LP -- Bing Xu -- was very good for him. He was on top of the world. This chart needs Bing Ding, and Jia to excell. All three elements came to play in his second pillar.
I would also love to read his wife's chart. I think her chart may have a lot of Fire and Wood, which is the reason Tiger was attract to her.

Elin Nordegren DOB is 1 January 1980 (according to Google search).
PS: Her Day Pillar is in a Fan Yin with the current 10 Luck Pillar, indicating I think possible negative changes regarding marriage, health, appearing over night. This 2009 year is her authority; if she is strong DM, she may actually gain fame / authority out of this, also implies something related to her husband. In Nov 2009 when the affairs were exposed, there was a complete wood (output) 3 harmony combination between Mao(10 LP), Wei (year pillar) and Hai (Nov 2009) with exposed Yi in HS of Nov 2009.
With her DOB, could we share more on compatibility too?
