Bazi Daily - 08/12/2009

‘比劫成局,当为几度新郎’。这也既是我们大家所熟悉的‘比劫争财’。

Literal Translation & Interpretation:

Competitive Deity & Amiable Deity are the elements that is same as the DM. Like DM, both Competitive Deity & Amiable Deity conquer Wealth Deity.

Hence, when the DM is weak, the existence of Competitive Deity & Amiable Deity is of great help to DM in achieving his goals (such as wealth). But when the DM is strong, both the Competitive Deity & Amiable Deity can be harmful.

Since both can 'rob' & 'dilute' the wealth (which represents money as well as girl friend & wife), the presence of strong & unfavorable Competitivie & Amiable Deities might affect the marriages negatively.

Hi Master Goh, how about when a strong DM is a female? Will it affect her marriage, as her boyfriend & husband are represented by deities of authority?

Mr/Ms Unknown,

Judging from the way you phrase the question, I believe that you already know the answer.

Would like to encourage you to share with us on your thought :)

Hi Master Goh, I think it may not affect her marriage/relationship unless (1) the deities of authority are combined away, or (2) since deities of wealth enhance deities of authority, the strength of the latter may be affected to some extend. Am I correct?

Mr/Ms Unknown,

My apologies, don't really understand the above statement.

However, I do hold the view that when the DM is too strong, it does affect the marital relationship. This principle applies to the male as well as the female.

Why is that so?

Because when the DM is strong, the person tend to be firmed & determined. BUT, when the DM is too strong, he/she can be very stubborn &, thus, affect the marital relationship negatively & unfavorably.

Hi Master Goh,

Please correct if my understanding is wrong.

1) A Weak DM is unable to effectively control deities of wealth. Amiable and competitive deities strengthen DM and increase its ability to control wealth.

2) A strong DM is able to control wealth deities to begin with. Therefore, it does not need more amiable and competitive deities. They only make a DM stronger. They are considered unfavorable as they imbalance a BaZi chart. In such cases, competitive and amiable deities can act as competitors to wealth.

In relationship terms, for a male with strong DM, this means that other men (friends) could want to share in his wealth. For personal relationships, this implies that friends could be interested in his gf/spouse. This destabilizes a relationship.

A weak DM personality welcomes friendships and partnerships. A very strong DM can be stubborn/arrogant, which can be a detriment to attracting real friends and partners.

I have personally observerd that very strong DMs also do not make good team players in organizations. They are more suited to individual contributor roles, and are commonly criticized for lack of team skills.

I have also observed that very strong DMs also tend to have few real friends!! In my observations, these issues tend to be less pronounced with moderately strong DMs.

Best,
Sanjay
