Hi Master Goh,

This friend of mine will feel dizzy after meals and when suddenly getting up from a lying down position.

She says she has low blood pressure.
Which organ is at fault when someone has low blood pressure? Is it the heart? Any cure?

Thanks in advance.

LadyGaga,

Before I answer your question, ask yourself which element related to blood?

It is fire that represents heart & blood circulation.

From my practical experiences, low blood pressure normally occurred in the chart where the fire is weak & the earth is strong.

The Spleen (ie represented by earth) helps to produce blood (fire) & Qi.

The Strong Earth would damage or exhaust the ascending energy of blood (ie fire). Hence, when the blood are not able to flow to the head, a person feel dizzy easily.

How to tell whether the blood flow smoothly within our body?

If the face is pale, meaning the blood does not flow to the head.

If we press our finger or the palm, if it turns red quickly after the press, it mean that the qi & blood flow smoothly to our hand.

As for the remedies, I would advise her to massage her stomach. This is to strengthen the digestive system so as to produce sufficient blood from food intake.

Our Limbs are being represented by wood. Wood gives birth to fire (heart & blood circulation) and controls earth (helping our digestive system). Hence, she can do more stretching exercises. You may want to try while reading this.

By stretching or lifting both our hands to head level, we are effectively lifting our Liver qi.

Also, there is a acupuncture point called 太冲穴, located at our foot. She can massage that point more frequently. You can search the website for the exact location of such a point.
