Agreed with you on the favorability of the elements that you have mentioned.
However, in consideration of his luck cycle (water luck cycle to further strengthen the DM & make the chart colder), I would think Fire would be a better choice in comparison with the Metal :)
He has gastric as well as digestive problems (strong wood attacking weak & wet earth).
Perhaps, he may have inherited wealth from the elders. BUT, there are also competition from Competitive & Amible Deities (比劫夺财). This applies to his wealth as well as his relationship.
