Bazi Daily - 10/12/2010

Let us take a break temporarily from the subject of TCM.

Please help to identify the favorable element for the below chart :-

乙 丙 己     (Male)
丑 子 寅 亥

What would be the most undesirable element to the above chart?

My 2Cents,

Water may not be good for this person. Born in season is already a strong DM.

Wei Kee

Wei Kee,

Thanks!

Besides being born in season (得令), can anyone share with us more factors that contribute to a strong DM?

Also, what is/are the most 'unhealthy' element(s) in this chart?

More often than not, I discover that most of us have the tendency to examine the status (Strong Or Weak) of the DM. It is, however, equally important to investigate the status of other elements inside or outside the chart :)

Dear Master Goh

1. DM born in season, in additon in the birthplace of Hai.

2. Yin combined with Hai to form wood. Yi is close proximity to DM.
Besides resources (Gui) is supporting DM.
So DM is strong.

3. Zi combined with chou to form earth. Wood attack earth..

Fire is favourable element, acting as mediating factor for wood/earth.

Unfavourable element : wood

Hi Master Goh,

I think Metal is the favourable element. Unfavourable is wood. EBs Water seems to be tied up in combos, so it is also needed abit...haha!

Lilian & LadyGaga,

Do you know the reason why I requested all of you to participate in this case where the Wood is obviously strong?

Because I found that most of us have forgotten our fundamental.

As for this case, we only identified Yin - Hai & Zi - Chou Combos. How about Hai-Zi-Chou combo? In the event of Seasonal Combo, Zi-Chou (6 combo) will not take place.

Fire, indeed, is the favorable element. BUT WHY?

Dear Master Goh

Initially I thought of using Hai-zi-chou but because of the Yin is between the hai and zi.

Since seasonal combo Hai-zi-chou overrule other combo, it becomes Water (winter).
So water is the unfavourable element.
The ice water will frozen/float the wood
So Fire is favourable element
because Fire is needed to warm the environment and give sunlight to the wood.

Lilian

Master Goh,
The chart is already so strong. A strong chart can be better balanced by using the elements that can either weaken it (output/Fire), control it (authority/Metal) or control (wealth/Earth). In this chart's case using Fire to weaken the DM wood is best as metal is too weak. Only existing metal in chart is buried in Chou at the hr as secondary Qi. There is also not enough Earth, Earth is weak too though not as weak as Metal as Earth exist in the yr stem and hr Branch (Ji). The Fire exist in the month pillar in both the stem and branch (Bing). Fire will give birth to Earth. The Qi will flow smoother. There maybe a tendency to follow Fire since the chart is a ShiShen (eating god) structure due to the month pillar and Bing is rooted.

With Hai-Zi-Chou combo there is intent to produce Water but it will not transform as there is no Water in any of the stems is my guess?

Best,
lugrey

Regardless of appearances of Water in the HS, this is a COLD chart for sure. At times, don't be too bothered with the technicality of transformation :)

Yes, it is true that the Fire is indeed needed in this bazi. Hence, any element (especially Ren water) disturbing the Bing Fire can be detrimental to the entire chart and, therefore, DM. The Sun (Bing fire) that gives rise to the warm disappeared suddenly.

according to some masters pien cai or indirect wealth causes indulgence in fantasy. I dont get the logic. I thought output was what makes one indulge in fantasy. Can you comment?
