Combinations & Clashes
Part 04
Conditions for a combination to take place :-
1. the combining elements have to be adjacent (i.e. near to each other) (cont'd)
I have shown various examples on the above (please refer to posting dated 25 Oct '09). Some may, then, ask what is the implication if the involving elements are far apart, such as :-
Example 1 : 丙 X X 辛
Example 2 : X 亥 X 寅
Combination connotes good relationship, approachable, close, etc. If the involving elements are close to each other (i.e. adjacent), implying the Day Master is friendly & approachable.
However, when the involving elements are so-called far apart. The Day Master may still exhibit friendliness, but is not as approachable as compared to the situation where the elements are close to each other.

Hi Master Goh,
Is there a significant difference between combo that combines in HS and combo that combines in EB?
Does that mean that if there is a combo in between hour pillar EB and day pillar EB....means that there is good relationship with spouse and children? Of course, depending on whether element favourable or not.
Thank you.

Wei Kee,
Do you cover the combo / clash come from Annual or Luck pillar later?
Don't think will cover to that very finest details in the near future :-)
Reason being that it will only lead you to theoretical satisfaction.
However, if you are able to grasp the fundamental concepts correctly, the same principles is also applicable to annual and luck pillar.

I had written an article on 'The Yin & Yang of Heavenly Stems & Earthly Branches' (dated 9 Oct 09)
Suggest you to take a look and share with me how you apply it with your question :-)

Affirmative. Great :-)
That is the way we learn. Though there are only 8 chinese characters in the bazi chart. Yet, the permutation is so huge that it, sometimes, beyond our comprehension.
We don't learn it details by details, bit by bit. Instead, we learn it through good understanding of the fundamental principles & doctrines. Then, applies it like what you have done :-)
This is a beautiful explanation, Master Goh, and a wonderful way to look at combinations. Please continue... :)
