Star of Prospect
(十干禄)
Whether the Star of Prospects is favourable or not will depend on the strength or weakness of the day master.
When the DM is weak :-
- The Star of Prospects can provide assistance to a weak day master, thus it is then a reinforcing or positive element.
- When the reinforcing or positive Star of Prospects is not conflicted or clashed with in any way, the day master shall still receive aid from relatives and friends in times of need, even though he may have been leading a stable life all the while.
- However, when the reinforcing or positive Star of Prospects does suffer a conflict or clash, then the day master may have difficulties getting aid in times of need and be forced eventually to leave his home.
Strong day master
- If the day master is already strong, the presence of the Star of Prospects can heavily overload the strength of the five elements within the four-pillar chart
- The Star of Prospects is the amiable deity (Bi Jian) of the Ten Deities. In fact, it conquers the deities of Wealth, which represent the individual’s father and for a male day master, his wife. As a consequence, a dominant Star of Prospects shall prove disadvantageous to his father and wife if the deities of Wealth are frail.

Hello Master Goh..
so for strong day master, if wealth star is totally not present within the chart, does that mean the 'damage' to the father/wife is lessen?

In one of your postings, you mentioned that too many of the beneficial compounds stars may not be a good sign as the natal chart may be out of balance.
As a general guide, (out of the 10 compound stars you have introduced) how many is considered too many?

If certain star is not present (totally) or is weak, we can conclude that the affinity might not be strong.
I wouldn't say that it is detrimental to particular personnel when represented by the deities.

Instead of counting the numbers (which most of us did), I suggest to base upon the strength & favorability of the deities or compound stars.
Fav = good impact ;
Unfav = -ve impact.
Don't complicate the simple concept.
