Five Elements & its Industrial / Career Representation

Which element would you like to classify the Car Manufacturing Industry?

How about Doctor?

Gratefulness is the key to a happy life that we hold in our hands,
because if we are not grateful,
then no matter how much we have we will not be happy
-- because we will always want to have something else or something more.

Hi Master Goh,

In the higher level for car manufacturing i will say is Metal and Fire.

Doctor should be Metal, cause it use knifes :)

Wei Kee,

Thanks for your active participations & contributions :)

I do agree with your logic.

In addition to the Elemental Way of classifying the industris, we can use 10 deities to so-called further 'refine' it.

For instance, Authority Deity controls and causes harm to DM. Authority Deity can be viewed as illnesses. Accordingly, Talent Deity (which controls Authority) can be deemed as Doctor.

Cars provide protection to the driver and passengers, we can also use Resource Deity to represent Car :)

Does law firm fall under metal and can we use resource deity to represent it?

Star,

I do agree with you that Metal is appropriate in representing the law firm :)

As for the corresponding 10 deities representing law firm, I think Explicit Talent Deity is more appropriate. Note that the function of the lawyer or law firm is to challenge the law & legislations.

Thank you for your views. Referring to the case stated, if metal and explicit talent deity are favourable to the DM, can we say that the DM is in the "right" industry?

Star,

Yes, I do agree that he/she is probably in the right industry or job / career - fit :)

Hi,
How about surgeons are metal and GP doctors are wood because of their benevolence to help recover from illnesses? In which case, it would be direct resource.

WP,

Surgeons = metal (logical deduction)

As for the GP as wood element, it also sound convincing.

In addition to the above, can we use Wood to represent TCM, whilst Metal to represent Western Doctor?

The reason why I brought this topic is that classifying professions and industries in pure elemental form is insufficient.

There are more factors that warrant our careful considerations.

Hi there,
Thank you. Yes TCM wood (east) and Western Doctor metal (west) are also very convincing.

I also heard examples like
medicine = water/wood (wisdom/growth/nurturing)
Policeman = earth/metal (trust/sense of security/righteousness)
Pharmacist = water/earth (cleansing/nourishment)
and many more... do you agree to these multi-element considerations?

WP,

Some books, however, classified medicine as Fire as it need to go thru' some manufacturing processes.

Using single element to represent things & objects is inadequate. I do agree with you that multi-element considerations is needed.
