Bazi Daily - 01/11/2010

Hi,all!   Welcome back.  Today, I shall continue with the topic of Romance & Marriages.

官星坐沐俗、桃花、咸池;夫英俊,多情慾,风流,外遇,在外拈花惹草。

We have learned & know the concept of 12 Natural Life Cycle of Heavenly Stems (十二长生历程) and the various implications of Compound Stars (神杀).

Today, we shall make good use the above concepts in examining the marriages.

According to the above text, should the Spouse Star sitting above the Bath & Flower of Romance, the Spouse may be good looking, with high sexual drive and flirtatous.  As such, he can be a womanizer and causes problematics marriages.

What is your view on the above?

I have found life an enjoyable, enchanting, active,
and sometime terrifying experience, and I've enjoyed it completely.
A lament in one ear, maybe, but always a song in the other.

Hi Master Goh,

A) I have some queries with respect to the theory discussed in this post:

1) In terms of "Flower of Romance", does it refer any of the four EBs "Zi, Wu, Mao or You", irregardless whether it is the "personal" Peach Blossom of the chart-owner?

2) Assuming that there is no Spouse Star in the HS, but it is present as an EB or/and HHS, does the theory still applies? Using a specific example, if the Spouse Star is an EB (i.e. "Zi, Wu, Mao or You") and it happens to be the personal peach blossom of the chart-owner, does the theory still applies?

B) My opinion on the theory

1) Does it make a difference if the Spouse Star happens to be a favorable element of the chart owner. In other words, the positive attributes of the spouse (e.g. good looks, good social skills) heavily outweighs the negative attributes?

2) For Peach Blossom, do we also look at whether it is an external or internal Peach Blossom? As such, if the Spouse Star happens to be sitting on an external Peach Blossom, the negative attributes been discussed here will be amplified?

Master Goh

Does the theory in today's posting apply to a male DM too?

EL,

1) ...Romance, does it refer any of the four EBs "Zi, Wu, Mao or You", irregardless whether it is the "personal" ...

If it is 'personal', the impact is direct and obvious. If it is only any of the 4, the impact is still effective, BUT LESS OBVIOUS.

...if the Spouse Star is an EB ...and it happens to be the personal peach blossom of the chart-owner, does the theory still applies?

Yes :)

Mbox2,

Yes, it does apply to a male DM.

Master Goh,

Thank you for all your replies.

I bought your books but struggling to grasp the concept of 12 Natural Life Cycle of Heavenly Stems (十二长生历程).

My confusion:

a) Do we only evaluate the strength of 4 HS and check against the EB where each sit (ignoring all other 6 HS), or do we list and measure all 10 HS (including in EB HHS) against Month EB to check if in season?

b) When an element come in Luck Pillar, is it considered be in full strength? For e.g. in Natal Yi born in season will inevitably hint that power element is weak (due to month influence). But, when Yi You comes in Luck Pillar, You’s strength here will be at peak or still as weak as in Natal Chart? In short, in the case of a female, has the quality of Spouse changed?

Karen,

a) Yes! This is when you want to examine (in particular) the status of particular HS. Then, you can evaluate it by checking against the EB where that particular HS sit.

If not, I don't usually do that :)

b) Of course, with the presence of You metal (in your cited illustration), the metal gains strength. It will not remain as weak as in Natal Chart.

Hi Master Goh,

Thank you for your answers.

I am still confused about why we have to only evaluate the 4 HS and not 6 others which could be hidden in EB HHS. Are the 6 others not that important? Are the 3 HS (other than DM)more significant than 6 other HS?

For example, I want to know how strong is father and the deity is only in EB. And in HS there are Dieties other than father. Can I not list the 10 HS elements and evaluate their strenght according to 12 Natural Life Cycle of Heavenly Stems? Or can I simply use Five Elements in Four Seasons Table to do the evaluation?

Thanks.

Of course, you can do so if you feel comfortable. There is no right or wrong :)

But, personally, I only use 12 Natural Stages to supplement my analysis.

To me, analysis using 5 elements & 10 deities is my main emphasis. The rest (incl Compound Stars) are 'side dishes'.

Hi Master Goh,

Very happy the author himself takes the trouble to entertain readers queries. :)

Thank you for telling me you only use 12 Natural Stages, and Compound Stars to supplement your analysis. I feel better cos i know I have not completely "deviate" from how a practitioner analyse! :)

Allow me to ask a few more questions, on 12 Natural Stages?

a)Is it used to check the 'stamina' of the DM at 4 period of life e.g. when young, youth, middle age and old age, or things like strenght of ancestor, family, marriage and career etc?

b)EBs are not scrutinized 'cos they are not as important as HSs which are more "apparent and obvious", right?

c)Say Year Pillar HS is at Peak, is it best to see the Luck Pillar's strenght to be weak, say at Death - to balance the chart of a strong DM?

d)If wealth is in Burial stage, you mentioned there will be savings. What if Spouse/Peer/Parents is inside? Does it denotes being imprisoned/trapped?

Thanks in advance!

Karen.

Karen,

a) Yes, those are some of the important aspects :)

b) Both the EB & HS are equally important. EB also subject to the influence of the seasonal factor.

c) Whether the Year Pillar HS is at Peak is not crucial. The important consideration is whether that particular HS contributed to the unequilibrium state. If it is the main 'contributor', weakening element in the luck pillar is, of course, desirable.

d) If any of the deity is in the Burial Stage & there is no sign of the same deity appear elsewhere (especially in the HS), your comments (ie imprisionment & being trapped) would be a valid one.
