We all knew that Day Stam represents the Individual (ie the owner of the chart). It is naturally to make use of Day Branch to connote the Spouse.
What are the things that we need to look out for?

What is the relationship between the stem and branch of the Day Stem?
As the DM's earthly branch is the Spouse palace, is the spouse star there?

The relationship between Day Stem & Day Branch can either be :-
- generative relationship
- controlling relationship
- the same element
If the DM is weak, and the Day Branch (represents Spouse) is giving birth to the DM, we can then conclude that the Spouse is supportive.
As for your 2nd part of query, any EB (and hence deity) can reside inside the Spouse Palace (namely, Day Branch).
