Passive chart style connotes the idea of submission. Since the day master is extremely weak in the eight characters, he has to yield to the dominant energy of his four-pillar chart to get by.
There are three passive chart styles, namely :-
= Wealth Submissive Chart Style (从财格);
= Authority Submissive Chart Style (从官杀格) ; and
= Output Submissive Chart Style (从儿格).

Hi Master Goh,
What is the implication on the chart owner when the DM submit to the dominant energy?
Does it mean that the chart owner gains benefits (wealth, success, fame, happiness etc) from the person represented by the dominant energy and submits to him or her?

It is good to ask. However, effective learning is through trying to answer to own doubts :)

I think it is Proper Authority as Wu is stronger in summer as compared to Geng.

I would like to add one more info regarding this natal chart. The earthly branch below the DM is Chou. As Chou and Si combined to produce metal - will this situation make the chart to be classified as "Direct Resource" too. But since Wu is stronger as mentioned in my earlier posting - ultimately, I think it should be classified as "Proper Authority". Would like to hear from you on your analysis.

Don't quite agreed with your 2nd part of the analysis - 巳丑 combined and transformed to become a metal.
In the summer season of Si month where fire is strong, it is unlikely that such a transformation to metal would take place :(
The first part of your analysis is correct : the Wu earth in the Summer season is being supported by the fire, hence, it should be Proper Authority Chart.
