Bazi Daily - 01/07/2010

Today, I shall explore you with the steps of identifying Chart Types.

Guiding principle of establishing Common Chart Pattern

Common chart patterns are based on the derivation of the prevailing ten deities, through the observation of the covert stems (main and residual energies) within the month earthly branch, and after which aptly named accordingly.

Below are several factors to consider before deciding on the chart pattern:

a. The creative or destructive relationship, between the day stem and the main covert stem within the month earthly branch that corresponds with the year stem, month stem or hour stem, will establish the chart pattern.

b. If the main covert stem within the month earthly branch does not coincide with the year stem, month stem or hour stem, then the next step to do is to check for any corresponding residual energies. Thereafter, the creative or destructive relationship between the day stem and the residual covert energy of the month branch will establish the chart pattern.

c. If both the main and residual energies within the month earthly branch do not correspond with the year stem, month stem or hour stem, the most prominent covert stem shall be selected and compared with the day stem to establish a chart pattern.

Got it?

Yup, on the other question about "main covert stem"? how do we know which one is the main?

I read some other books, it say depend which day of the month, difference hidden element will be dominant. Is this how we find?

Hi Master Goh,

This will mean that the below chart main energy is EG since the day stem has a constructive r/s with the main covert stem of the month?

庚 丙 戊 己
寅 寅 辰 未

I think my chart above is easy to read and understand but what about these 2 below? They are normal charts I suppose. Can you guide me?

癸 丙 壬 癸
巳 午 戌 丑

壬 戊 己 癸
子 午 未 亥

Thanks so much!!

Master Goh

Where the heavenly stems are Wu(hr) Gui (Day) Xin (Mth) and Geng (Yr)and month branch is Si (hidden stems are Bing, Wu & Geng) - in this case is it considered "Proper Authority Chart Style or Primary Resource Chart Style"?

M,

You have quoted 3 cases whereby you have also highlighted the chart pattern for the first case which I agreed with :)

As for the 2nd & 3rd case, why don't you try to analyse and share with us.

Orchid,

戊 癸 辛 庚
X X 巳 X
(庚 丙 戊)

Proper Authority Chart Style or Primary Resource Chart Style, what do you think?

It is good to ask. However, effective learning is through trying to answer to own doubts :)

Share with us your analysis, I will tell you the answer.

BTW, all are welcomed to participate in answering to this case. It is a good case for your understanding when both the HHS appeared in the Heavenly Stems :)

I think it is Proper Authority as Wu is stronger in summer as compared to Geng.

I would like to add one more info regarding this natal chart. The earthly branch below the DM is Chou. As Chou and Si combined to produce metal - will this situation make the chart to be classified as "Direct Resource" too. But since Wu is stronger as mentioned in my earlier posting - ultimately, I think it should be classified as "Proper Authority". Would like to hear from you on your analysis.

Hi Master Goh & Orchid,

I think that Wu is too busy trying to combine with Gui (DM)to be really strong. It can't transform because Si contains stage 1 of metal plus will team up with Chou and carry Xin on its shoulders. Therefore, I think that metal here is the strongest.

Just my two cents worth.

Hi Master Goh,

For the below,

癸 丙 壬 癸
巳 午 戌 丑

the day stem is primary resource and the main covert stem is rob wealth, this is destructive right? This is a strong chart with lots of wealth...

As for

壬 戊 己 癸
子 午 未 亥

day stem is rob wealth and main covert stem is EG so it's constructive and is a EG chart but being a weak chart, it wouldn't like too many officers and this chart has a lot of officers.

Thank you so much for this website GGL, it is so informative, and I like your style of teacherlike attitude in writing.

Would like to ask you about this, how to decide structure, if normal chart and strong or weak DM.

DM Bing, month branch Wei, so HHS are Ding, Ji and Yi. Ding protrude in MB, but is transformed into wood with Ren on YP.

Now we got resource element instead of Rob wealth before. So how do you decide what chart type when such transformation occur? (I checked already that Ding-Ren transformation does occur during Wei month).

Is above chart still RW structure, or change to indirect resource structure? Or has qualities of both of those structures?
