The answer to the question posted on 7 June 2011 is simple, without the Fire, the Wood born in the Winter isLIFELESS.

What are the conditions that the wood would float from the water instead of using it to grow?
If there is a wood combination, can it take place even though there is a clash between the heavenly stems? For example: if a Yin Mao is over a Ji Hai and it is over a Gui Wei.
I have both a Yin and a Mao in my chart and I am entering into a Chen Life Pillar, which is a "harm" to the Mao. But will the combination of seasonal wood negate the harm?

Thank you.
Master,
I have both a Yin and a Mao in my chart and I am entering into a Chen Life Pillar, which is a "harm" to the Mao. But will the combination of seasonal wood negate the harm?
thank you,
Eric
I also believe the poster before me meant "Yi Mao"
