Guiding principle of establishing Common Chart Pattern
Common chart patterns are based on the derivation of the prevailing ten deities, through the observation of the covert stems (main and residual energies) within the month earthly branch, and after which aptly named accordingly.
Below are several factors to consider before deciding on the chart pattern:
a. The creative or destructive relationship, between the day stem and the main covert stem within the month earthly branch that corresponds with the year stem, month stem or hour stem, will establish the chart pattern.
b. If the main covert stem within the month earthly branch does not coincide with the year stem, month stem or hour stem, then the next step to do is to check for any corresponding residual energies. Thereafter, the creative or destructive relationship between the day stem and the residual covert energy of the month branch will establish the chart pattern.
c. If both the main and residual energies within the month earthly branch do not correspond with the year stem, month stem or hour stem, the most prominent covert stem shall be selected and compared with the day stem to establish a chart pattern.
